NISU participates in PAGE-6 Reorganization at the University of San Agustin

 
 
Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) participated in the Philippine Association for Graduate Education Region VI (PAGE-6) reorganization meeting, where academic leaders convened to discuss the association's leadership, organizational structure, and plans for the upcoming term at the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City- College of Business Conference Room on July 21, 2026.
 
The meeting brought together vice presidents for academic affairs, graduate school deans, and representatives from higher education institutions across Western Visayas (Region VI).
 
 
Representing NISU at the meeting were Dr. Gilda E. Deguma, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Ma. Xerxa Doan Billones-Franco, Dean of the College of Education (COE), and Dr. Maria Kristina Ortiz, Dean of the College of Management (COM).
 
Additionally, Dr. Ortiz was elected Treasurer of PAGE-6 for the new term.
 
Meanwhile, the meeting focused on reviewing the current status of PAGE-6, discussing the reorganization plan and timeline, identifying vacant positions, and planning activities and initiatives for the association's upcoming term following the expiration of its regional officers' terms.
 
The PAGE-6 promotes excellence and collaboration among higher education institutions offering graduate programs through policy advocacy, faculty development, research initiatives, and academic networking.
 
Moreover, the association also works to strengthen institutional commitment to quality graduate education while supporting regional standards and the mandates of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
