Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) continued its series of institutional learning visits with its second official state university engagement at Bukidnon State University (BukSU), a SUC Level III institution headed by Dr. Joy M. Mirasol.

 

The visit aimed to gain valuable insights into BukSU’s digitalization initiatives and effective management of its multi-campus system.

 

The NISU delegation received a warm welcome from Mr. Dante S. Victoria, Jr., Vice President for Administration and Finance and concurrent Board Secretary V, who expressed BukSU’s appreciation for the opportunity to share the university’s best practices and institutional experiences.

 

 

One of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of Dr. Albert S. Villanca, Director of the Satellite Campuses Management Office, who discussed BukSU’s strategies in administering and supervising its 16 satellite campuses.

 

The delegation also learned from Mr. Donald Donasco, Head of the Information and Communication Technology Unit, who presented BukSU’s digital transformation journey.

 

He highlighted the university’s various digitalization initiatives, including the implementation of integrated information systems, and their technology-driven services that significantly improved operational efficiency.

 

These innovations contributed to BukSU’s achievement of Level II PRIME-HRM Maturity, reflecting its commitment to excellence in human resource management through digital governance.

 

The discussions provided NISU with valuable perspectives on leveraging technology to strengthen institutional operations.

 

The exchange of ideas also underscored the importance of strategic digital transformation in fostering organizational excellence and sustainable university development.

 

As NISU continues to strengthen its institutional capabilities through meaningful collaborations with leading state universities, the visit reaffirmed the University’s commitment to achieving its vision of becoming a SMART University known for advancing innovation, inclusion, and excellence by 2030.
