A total of 207 students of Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Lemery Campus completed their college education as the university conferred degrees during its 5th Commencement Exercises held at the Socio-Cultural Hall on June 10, 2026.

 

The graduating class comprised 172 Bachelor of Science in Information Technology graduates and 35 Bachelor of Elementary Education graduates.

 

Commencement speaker Atty. Benjie Sube Yotoko, Area Director for Western Visayas of the Philippine Postal Corporation, reminded the graduates that their success was not achieved alone but through the sacrifices, encouragement, and unwavering support of the people around them.

 

“Today, as you receive your diploma, remember that success is never a solo journey. Behind every graduate is a story of love. Behind every diploma is a story of sacrifice. And behind every achievement is a community of people who believed in you even before you learned to believe in yourself,” Yotoko said.

 

 

He urged the graduates not to forget their parents and all those who helped them along the way, emphasizing that gratitude is among the most beautiful marks of an educated person.

 

“Indi gid ninyo paglipatan ang inyo mga ginikanan kag mga nagbulig sa inyo. Ang pagpasalamat isa sa pinakamatahom nga marka sang isa ka edukado nga tawo,” he added.
